I love celebrating good news..
So happy to end my day reflecting on my shoot with Khalida Ahmed, celebrity makeup artist and Jasmine Kundra from BBC The Apprentice, season 13. As well as working with Khalida again it was an honour to meet and shoot Jasmine, who is such a beautiful and inspiration woman. I am looking forward to viewing the images from earlier today but for now I'm off to bed for some well deserved R&R. Watch this space for the final edited images...
It's an old picture that still gets noticed to this day. I'm so proud of this image and honoured that it stands the test of time
As we head into celebrating the Commonwealth of Dominica's independence from Great Britain which took place in 1978, on the 03 November it was a great pleasure to be invited to photograph the Creole evening at Dominica's High Commission in London. The island of Dominica traditionally mark the time with a series of celebrations including Heritage Day, Creole Day and Market Day where the island and islanders are decorated in our national colours, coming together to sing, dance and enjoy our wonderful cultural. So being away from home, the Dominican's in England also come together to celebrate our heritage with organised events such as the Creole evening last Friday The evening was filled with pride, love, laughter, unity and yes great food and music.
Wishing my fellow Dominican's happy Independence Dayton 3rd November
I just love seeing my work out there. Thanks again Ibe for trusting me to capture the images you were after
Nicola came over to my studio for another post mastectomy photo shoot recently. I have been photographing her journey with breast cancer prior to her mastectomy which, in a way, has formed a part of my own journey. I must say that I admire Nicola's resilience and strength, I have no experience of what she is going through or what happen's behind her closed doors but every time I see her she is wearing a smile. When she speaks about her situation (for want of a better phrase) I hear courage and determination, I see a women who will not let this define of defeat her. Nicola is definitely an inspirational women!!!
With this in mind I based her shoot on the images I came across in the Huffington Post (October 2017) titled 'Women Bare Mastectomy Scars In Empowering Photos To Raise Breast Cancer Awareness. 'We are still sexy and beautiful.' ' I am unable to share her pictures here so you'll have to trust me when I say that her spirit truly shone during her shoot.
It's been great watching Vinette Hoffman Jackson's journey over the past year including having the pleasure of documenting some aspects of it. So imaging my excitement to see one of her books... I also feel so honoured to have worked with Vinette on this project!!!
So excited to have received a new award for my most impactful photo
I just wanted to share this image from Christina's recent portrait shoot where she wanted some images for her new single. I am now always a fan of the serious loo but I found Christina to be a bit of a cameleon, her face changed with a smile, with the change of the camera angle but when in those still moments I found her to enchanting
It's great to see this picture is still popular on Viewbug
So day 1 has come to a close, the pictures have been downloaded, batteries are re-charging and I'm heading off for a well deserved rest. I had a wonderful day shooting Kadija and Suhail's wedding at Froyle Park in Alton. The wet weather did not dampen anyones spirits as the two families came together to celebrate the day. I will be heading to bed with some wonderful memories, looking forward to the photographing their second day of celebrations...

Hannah contacted me asking if I could take a headshot that she could use for her business. She is just starting out as a counsellor and wanted a warm, friendly and inviting picture that she could use to promote herself. I loved the enthusiasm Hannah had for her shot and enjoyed creating this image...

Every now and then I get asked to do a shoot that is a little different to what I usually do. Nataliya is starting a grift wrapping service and wanted me to take some headshots incorporating her talent for making that special gift look exceptional. So I'd like to proudly introduce Nataliya...

As tired as I am today it was such a pleasure photographing the Dominician's Overseas National Association 40th year of independence celebrations last night. I photographed their 30th anniversary D&D 10 years ago so I was so happy to be invited back again to photography this years dinner and dance.
One of my memorable moments was meeting the legendary broadcaster Alex Pascall. As a child my parents would take us to the BBC to record a message, on Alex's show, that was broadcasted to our families in the Caribbean each Christmas. Talking to Alex last night brought back so many wonderful childhood memories as well as creating new ones.
I had the great pleasure of producing these beautiful headshots of the elegant Philippa. I was so glad to be able to create these images
I'm getting ready for my shoot with Philippa this afternoon. Here are some ideas I am playing around with...
